Why I got involved with NEPTL: I love tools and the simple nature of the tool library piqued my curiosity and inspired me to get involved in an amazing grass roots organization.

My Background: My story started in Wyoming but sidetracked into the Pacific Northwest for the last thirty years.  I have lived in Portland over twenty of those years, sixteen of which involved the tool library as a board member.  Being a DIY type person who loves craftsmanship and the creative way to solve problems easily led me into fixing old houses and a passion for new skills.  Formally trained as a soil scientist  I soon realized I had too many interests to be stuck in one path leading to an office career.  Life responded and I met a wonderful partner, got married, moved to New Zealand and then became a stay at home parent in Portland.  Now I run my own home remodel/repair company helping others solve problems and realizing their dreams.  Otherwise I love spending time caving, riding motorcycles, and finding the next adventure.
