Group Loans

Got a group project that requires more than 7 tools at once?  The NEPTL can loan out tools for community project work parties.  Because we are the only tool library in Portland to offer group tool loans, they are available to groups in any part of Portland, not just those in Northeast Portland.  To apply for a group tool loan, fill out the Group Tool Loan Application and return it to NEPTL by email to grouploans@neptl.org or by dropping it off at the Tool Library.

We need two weeks advance notice, especially during the spring and summer; that enables us to pull the tools you need out of circulation and set them aside for your group.

If you have any questions about this program, please email grouploans@neptl.org.

Some examples of past projects that used our group tool loan service include:

  • Gardening and building maintenance for the Earth Day workparty at Vernon Elementary School
  • Invasive plant clearing on Sauvie Island by Multnomah Soil & Water
  • Maintenance at the Harvey Scott Elementary School done by volunteers from the Mosaic Church
  • Planting and pruning fruit trees by Portland Fruit Tree Project volunteers
  • Planting a vegetable garden and ongoing landscape maintenance at Redeemer Lutheran Church
